Life Amongst Us

SOLD!

This one is done with acrylic, oil pastel, oil paint and pencil… Ya, a little strange but that is how I get the effects that I want. It is about a family that I love. It pictures the positive influence that they will have on the people and the earth around them as they grow. We all have choices to make, positive or negative, it is my opinion that we should really try to make things better around us.

24 X 15 inches

Hi. Your work is amazing. I looked at all of your work and they are all really powerful but this one definately stoods out to me. It ironically reminded me of a drawing that I just did myself. When I am sitting in a lecture or during my bible study time I will sometimes find a verse that inspires my to draw it. I just draw the picture in my head. Many times it doesn't come out on paper the way it is in my head. At times it is worse and times it is better. The irony that I saw in your painting was that it depicts what I had originally wanted to draw when I read Psalm 1 verse 2. It talks about a man blessed by God who delights in the law of God and meditates on it night and day. That is immediately what I thought of when I saw your painting. It gives me such inspiration to see that even though I may not be able to put on paper what I saw in God's word, that He gives it to someone else to depict. And the other really cool thing about it is the fact that you created it for an intirely different reason. In your description you talked about it representing a family that is close to you and how they will have a positive effect on the earth and people around them. I can totally see that after looking at it for a little while. And what you said is soo true, we need to remember that we affect all we come into contact with (both positively and negitively)We really need to work on effecting people positively and making things better. One of the best ways we can fo that is by totally submitting our selves to Christ and allowing Him to take control and guide our steps. When we are in Christ, only then can we be sure that we are doing the right thing for the right reasons. Thank you for the inspiration. I pray that when others look at your work that God would be able to speak to them as He did to me. All the best with selling them (I would buy one but all I have is debt right now as is the life of a college student). Thanks again and God Bless. :)

Wow the comment right there, is just beautiful, how does one top that? I am used to critiquing works, because I have been in Art School myself, but I think when someone can find a spiritual connection and message from your work, it far surpasses any comments I might make to the composition or colors in your piece.
I just found it to be very well put together, I feel the motion and movement, the way you chose to balance the colors in each individual shape, which made up the whole of the piece.
I this piece interesting because of the fact that it is very clean in its lines... but in some parts it is fragmented but the fragments are moving together as a whole. The only thing I could compare it to would be a mosaic, but it is very different.
It reminds me of my life, my Father in Heaven, my family, my church, my friends... everything and everyone that makes up an individual persons life. It is all pieces to the overall puzzle, and if you were to remove any section to this painting, it would take away from the whole idea.
I hope that made sense. I really could not top the last commenter. :o)
